Trenton Teapots

These are photos that I took for an article in "Gastronomica: The Journal of Food and Culture".  The collection of Porcelain Veilleuse-Theieres is located in Trenton, Tennessee.  Collected and donated by Dr. Frederick Freed, it is the world's largest collection of teapots.  They are dated between 1750 to 1860 and were collected from all over the world.  If you feel like taking a Natchez excursion, I highly suggest visiting this quaint town, checking out the teapots, and possibly catching a Civil War Reenactment or visiting a Civilian Civil War Camp, where Granny will show you her apothecary and possibly cure what'er ails you.
